Dark ruby garnet, violet reflexes, delicate brightening. With a touch of precious wood underlined ripe heart cherry fruit, fine floral nuances, pleasant herbal spice, a touch of orange zest. Juicy, elegant, fine fruit sweetness, well integrated tannins, ripe cherries on the finish, mineral and sticky, good development potential.
Blaufränkisch is Burgenland's traditional red grape variety. On the southerly site of Ried Point, first mentioned in 1570, it ripens to maximum quality on calcareous loamy soils. Being older than 30 years, these Blaufränkisch vines only yield small quantities of a fine and concentrated wine. This special Blaufränkisch of our estate fascinates by its wonderful blackberry fruit and intense spiciness.
Pairing: It is a delicious companion to pâtés and meat dishes.
Winemaker dates: selective manual hand harvest, ripening for 30 months in small barrels of french oak, bottling without filtration, without fining
