Weingut Leo Aumann - Harterberg Merlot 2012

Thermenregion - Dry -
Red - Austria

92 Points Falstaff

Deep dark ruby garnet, violet reflexes, delicate brightening. With a fine nougat touch backed black berry fruit, delicately licorice, subtle Edelholztouch, spicy nuances. Powerful, juicy heart cherry fruit, delicate to Cassis, present, still somewhat demanding tannins, a little astringent in the finish, still needs some time.

Pairing : Decantation is worthwhile! To steaks, lamb, game, pasta dishes.

The Harterberg is located south of Baden near Vienna. The "Harterberg Merlot" is only harvested in the best years. The storage took place in 100% new 225 l barrels of French oak, 1st filling, for 30 months.
