Weingut Kollwentz - Blaufränkisch Setz 2015

Neusiedlersee-Hügelland/Leithaberg - Dry -
Red - Austria

Dark ruby garnet, aromas of black cherries, mint and spices, rich in extracts, great fruit sweetness, mature, perfectly integrated tannin, a large Blaufränkisch.

The single vineyard "Krapflried", in common parlance plainly called "Setz", was first mentioned in documents in 1570. It borders the Großhöflein vineyard sites in the direction of Kleinhöflein. The southeast facing "Setz" enjoys plenty of sunshine from early morning till late in the afternoon. This allows the Blaufränkisch grapes to fully ripen in this wind-protected site. This special Blaufränkisch of our estate fascinates by its wonderful cherryfruit and intense spiciness.

Pairing: It is a delicious companion to grill dishes.
